Cezar Rachieru
I help fast-growing companies build the operating systems they've outgrown.

About
I co-founded a logistics telematics company and sold it to CEVA Logistics. At Sony Global Media, I led the operational launch of a $100M product. Then at Duffl (YC W20), I joined as VP of Operations and cut burn from $1M to $200K per month in 90 days — extending runway from 8 to 24+ months without raising additional capital, and helping position the 2024 strategic exit.
There's a specific moment in every successful startup when growth starts outpacing the system underneath it. Unit economics fray. Cadence breaks. The work that got the company here stops working. Most founders don't see it coming. The companies that get through it cleanly look very different from the ones that don't. That moment — and the operating layer that gets built or doesn't get built during it — is what I work on.
Today I'm an Operating Advisor in a Houston-based family office portfolio and the founder of Startup Theory, where I work with founders making the startup-to-company transition. I live in San Francisco.
